1 World Trade Center is 5 days from being NYC's tallest tower
4/27/2012On Monday, New Yorkers will see a new building dominating their skyline: One World Trade Center is expected to soar past the Empire State Building (which stands at 1,250 feet) to be the tallest structure in Manhattan. The gleaming skyscraper is still under construction, but shines by day and is illuminated at night, an inspiring testament to New York City's strength in the face of adversity. The new structure, which replaces the fallen twin towers, is planned to stand taller than any other building in the Western Hemisphere. Construction began six years ago and is expected to last into 2013, but already 55 percent of One World Trade Center has been leased.
What are your thoughts about seeing the new World Trade Center tower?
