Kid writes inspiring and adorbs letter to Canadian relay team
8/15/2012Elijah Porter is a 10-year-old from Newfoundland. He’s also articulate, a patriot and ... freaking adorable. Porter penned a fan letter to end all fan letters to Canada’s 4x100 Olympic relay team, which was disqualified, costing the team a bronze medal. In the fiery tone of a motivational speaker, Porter wrote: “We’re Canadians. We persevere. We create better lives for each other. The cold didn’t stop us from living in the North. We didn’t lose the War of 1812. We adapt and survive.” As consolation for their lost medals, he included a soccer medal he earned from a program sponsored by Tim Hortons, which Canadians should also be proud of. Awwww. [Source]
