For those of you (Warren Buffett, Diddy, Lady Gaga) lucky enough to use a $100 bill during your day, you'll get to see a shiny new one starting Tuesday. Yes, a redesigned Benjamin is scheduled to slip into the ranks of currently-out-there currency, and it looks ... like money? Actually, no, not money we're used to. The bill, which encountered multiple delays en route to the sweaty palms of the populace, features raised printing, microprinting, and color-shifting images, all designed to stymie counterfeiters, and its subtle blue tones are there to infuriate people who still remember when money was just one color. The bill was promised an October 8 launch back in April, but there was a printing foul-up that banished about 30 million notes to the incinerator, so we'll see if Benjamin gets to spread his shiny blue wings tomorrow or not.
