12-year-old girl forced to wear punishment diaper, say cops

​There probably won't be any parenting awards for the Minnesota couple who police say forced their 12-year-old daughter to do sprints outside for half an hour as punishment for bad grades. Maybe you don't think that sounds so harsh, except the girl was also allegedly forced to wear a diaper and had her head shaved. The girl's mother Stephanie Broten told police she was "simply disciplining her child by embarrassing her," while her stepfather Darnell Landrum added that the girl had been warned to shape up several times. If the pair is found guilty of malicious punishment of a child they face up to a year in jail, where they'd presumably be allowed to wear more than a diaper.
