4/20 is the day of doobies (and of Hitler, Columbine, Fenway)
4/20/2012If you haven't figured out why the #its420 and #shutupandsmoke hashtags are getting a lot of action today on Twitter, you probably forgot (or never knew) that April 20 marks pot smokers' favorite day of the year (the date is tied to a rumored "420" police code for "Marijuana Smoking in Progress"). To commemorate this year's doobie-ous occasion, a new Bob Marley documentary has debuted.
But wait, there's more! Fenway Park also turns 100 today, Hitler would have been 123 (thankfully, he never made it this far), the Columbine massacre happened in 1999, and the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded two years ago. In other words, today is the ultimate flashback.
