4-homer bat has bad break, heads to Cooperstown
5/14/2012Texas Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton already has 18 homers this season, and some predict he'll break the record of 73 in a season set by Barry Bonds. Whether he does or not, Hamilton has already found his way into the Hall of Fame. The bat he used to hit four dingers in one game against the Baltimore Orioles is now headed to Cooperstown. Hamilton, a recovering drug addict, hit eight of nine homers in six days with the stick but broke it in his last at-bat on Sunday. "She went out a hero," Hamilton said. "She was ready to go. She was tired." Not as tired as opposing pitchers are of facing Hamilton.
Do you think Hamilton will break the record for single-season homers?
