4-year-old girl saves her brother with calm call to 911
5/20/2012A 4-year-old New York girl's cool and collected 911 call may have saved her younger brother from choking to death on a chicken nugget. While her panicked grandmother raced out of the house with the passed-out boy to scream for help, Grace Varley calmly told a dispatcher, "My brother's not moving." Moments later, an ambulance was on the way. The grandma, Christine Doran, who failed to revive the boy with the Heimlich maneuver, was unable to get through to 911, so badly were her hands shaking. The Amityville Village girl, meanwhile, is being hailed as a hero by police and grateful parents for showing Grace under pressure.
