Colin Kaepernick and 49ers steamroll Packers to reach NFC title game1/13/2013
What started as a shootout between two talented quarterbacks eventually turned into the Colin Kaepernick show. The 49ers QB skillfully led his team past Aaron Rodgers' Packers, winning 45-31 in the NFC Divisional Playoffs. Kaepernick threw an early interception that was run back for a touchdown, but after that error, he was nearly perfect. He threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for another 181 — plus two more touchdowns. San Francisco will face the winner of the Seahawks-Falcons game in the NFC Championship. As a bonus, Saturday's win keeps alive the possibility of a Harbaugh vs. Harbaugh Super Bowl. John Harbaugh, the brother of 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, saw his Ravens upset Denver in double overtime to make the AFC Championship.
