A kebab sandwich may have saved this man's life
4/26/2012With so many stories out there about the dangers of fast food, here's an instance where a quickly-thrown together sandwich may have actually saved a life. After a U.K. man, James Hobbs, had his throat slashed, he staunched the flow of blood from the five-inch-wound in his throat by pressing a recently purchased kebab sandwich to it. Although Hobbs had to be hospitalized and received 27 staples to close the laceration, he could have lost more than the six pints of blood that gushed from the wound had it not been for the chewy, absorbent bread of his tasty middle-eastern treat. (Warning: Do NOT try this with crispy tacos.)
