Lifelong animal caregiver dies in dog attack

A fatal dog attack has tragically taken the life of Rebecca Carey, a passionate animal rescuer and caregiver of dogs since the age of 13. The 23-year-old from Decatur, Ga. was caring for five dogs at the time of the incident, including a pit bull that she had owned for six years and two Presas (a large, powerful Spanish breed). She was discovered in her house with bite wounds to the neck and upper torso after she didn't show up for work at Alpharetta's Loving Hands Animal Clinic.
