LEGO can't ignore 10,000 crazed fans who want a Mars rover replica now

If you build it (or let them build it), they will come. At least, that’s what LEGO is thinking as it decides whether or not it should create a replica of the Mars Curiosity rover. The model for the idea, which has already received 10,000 fan votes on the LEGO CUUSOO site, was designed by a mechanical engineer who worked on the real rover. "What a cool Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover model!” says the CUUSOO team, a Japanese partner that acts as the liaison between community-supported ideas and the LEGO team that decides what to build next. “We now officially advance this project to the Review phase.” Move over, LEGO Harry Potter and Batman.
