Patient mutt becomes foster parent to white lion cub

8/1/2012

A rare white lion cub rejected by its mother has found a patient, slightly slobbery, new adopted parent to cuddle. And as you’ll see in the photos above, that patience can be tested by the energetic bundle. Three-week-old cub Jojo was born at the Safari Park in Stukenbrock, Germany, but sadly his mother rejected him when they reunited after she was treated for an infection. Luckily another four-legged beast was happy to step into the parental role – Lejon, a pointer mix mutt. One park worker praised Lejon’s manner: “Jojo scrambles all over him, jumps on his head, bites his fur. But he doesn't mind – he's a very patient surrogate.” [Source]
