Cheating at National Scrabble Championship does not score 14 points

8/15/2012

The noble pursuit of forming words of great worth to p**s off your opponents has been dragged into the mud with news that a cheating scandal has erupted at the 2012 National Scrabble Championship. According to the National Scrabble Association, as round 24 of the tournament in Orlando, Fla., was starting, two blank tiles were discovered to be missing from the tile bag after the board was cleared. A player was questioned and after he confessed to taking the tiles, he was ejected from the tournament. Reports say the competitor had hidden the coveted tiles for future use.
