Missing blind dog reunited with her family in time for Christmas
12/26/2012We can't imagine how many letters to Santa asked for a dog for Christmas, but one Alaskan family just wanted to find their own pup sitting under the tree this year. Abby, a blind 8-year-old rescue dog, disappeared from the Grapengeters' yard on December 13 and — as temperatures in Fairbanks fell to 40 degrees below zero — the family worried that they'd never see their beloved pet again. But more than a week later, Abby appeared on the doorstep of a local veterinarian, more than ten miles from her own house. Dr. Mark May shared Abby's pics on Facebook and on Christmas Eve, she was reunited with her family. "It's a miracle," McKenzie Grapengeter said. [Source]
