These guys are giving Obama a mushroom that costs as much as a house

11/14/2012

Barack Obama will soon be on the receiving end of one tasty gift. The Italian village of Acqualagna is known worldwide for its white truffles, and to commemorate Obama winning re-election, the village announced it will give him one magic mushroom — a 2.23-pound truffle valued at more than $300,000 (the current price of white truffles is $3,800 per kilo). The truffle will be delivered to the U.S. Nov. 18. We're guessing this truffle is not going to end up on an order of fries. [Source]
