Before Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza destroyed so many lives, he apparently destroyed his computer hard drive — perhaps using a hammer or a screwdriver. A source described the state of Lanza's computer, on which he reportedly liked to play a violent video game, as "pretty bad," telling the Daily Beast, "If he destroyed the computer, that means there are things on there that would concern him." The source also noted that the damage would complicate law enforcement efforts to recover information pertinent to the case. It also might indicate that Lanza had planned the attack in advance.
