Adorable girl comforts her dejected soccer player dad

Sometimes, even family can't cheer you up. On Sunday, after Dutch soccer team De Graafschap were relegated from the country's highest soccer league, one player in particular was crushed by the results, but an adorable family moment soon unfolded. Rogier Meijer was sitting dejectedly on the field when his young daughter, Saar, bounded onto the pitch, wearing her own De Graafschap jersey with her dad's number and her name on it, to console him. She lovingly puts her hand on his shoulder and leans in to say something to her bummed pop. Judging by the way Meijer's head shake, it could have been something like, "Did you win, Daddy?" Saar sticks by her dad's side through his heartache and simultaneously manages to warm ours (and elicit some awwws) with her loving support.
