Adventurer tweets her way through scary tropical storm
6/8/2012British adventurer Sarah Outen is now safe aboard a recovery vessel heading for Japan after Tropical Storm Rosie's 50-foot waves whacked a hole in her rowboat and left her stranded in the Pacific. The rescue is a serious disruption to Outen's mission to become the first to circumnavigate the globe using only human power. But, judging from her gloomy-sounding phonecast and her relieved "HOORAY4 JAPANESE ALWAYS BEING EARLY!" tweet, the rescue was essential. The athlete says she waited more than 30 hours for help to arrive "in the roughest, most frightening conditions I've ever been in ... capsizing, capsizing, capsizing."
