After losing her own puppies, Yorkie nurses litter of 5 kittens

Sometimes moms just need to be moms. So when a 10-year-old Yorkshire terrier named Bridget gave birth to a pair of puppies that didn't survive, employees at the Humane Society of Utah's Foster Care Department were able to solve mutual needs by placing a litter of five kittens with her. The nursing and nurturing instincts kicked in immediately, and mama dog and the three-week-old kittens are both thriving. Even the animal world has its own episodes of "Modern Family."
