Airbus is now building bigger airline seats because we're fat
5/28/2012Airbus thinks you're fat. The airline manufacturer is offering U.S. airlines planes that have extra-wide seats specifically for U.S. customers, which would cost extra-wide chunks of cash. A company spokesperson said the seats would also appeal to mothers with children sitting in their lap and "large football players." Right, because linebackers make up such a huge percentage of airline travelers. Let's face it: The delicious Doritos Locos Taco and its millions of cousins in the junk food industry are responsible for this, but so far that knowledge hasn't seemed to stop us from creating record-setting foods, like this 109,000-calorie burger, or from eating them.
Would you pay more for a slightly bigger seat?
