Of course Al Gore wants to abolish the Electoral College
8/31/2012Former Vice President Al Gore spoke up on Thursday during coverage of the Republican National Convention in support of dissolving the Electoral College, surprising no one who remembers when Gore lost the 2000 presidential election despite winning the popular vote. Since that time, Al Gore is known for having grown a rich beard and becoming a lot more interested in environmentalism than campaigning. Gore further claimed the drive to dissolve the Electoral College was “a very interesting movement” that started in California, but we would guess it actually started in whatever place Al Gore was standing in the day he conceded the 2000 election.
