Al Pacino will play Phil Spector, but refuses to meet him
1/5/2013Al Pacino may be playing music legend Phil Spector in an upcoming HBO movie, "Phil Spector," about Phil Spector's life, but that doesn't mean Pacino sees any reason to actually talk to Phil Spector. The movie, which airs in March, will focus on the relationship between Spector and his attorney, Linda Kenney Baden. Pacino will be portraying the famed record producer and convicted murderer, and though he did wear what the AP called "a dizzying array of wigs" for the role, he refused to meet Spector. Why? Because Pacino felt the pre-crime Spector he is portraying in the film is a different person from the man rotting away in prison today. Deep. [Source]
