Ambitious otter devours 200 fish in koi pond massacre
2/4/2013Memo to vacationers: Your prized koi pond looks like one big buffet to your neighborhood otter. Linda and Alan Brown went to New Zealand for a month to visit their daughter. When they returned home to Norfolk, England, they found a scene of bloody devastation that wouldn't have looked out of place in a scene from "Game of Thrones" — except that all the dead were fish, victims of an otter's raid on the Browns' 6,000-gallon pond. Among the fallen were more than 200 goldfish, koi carp, mirror carp and ghost carp, some weighing over 25 pounds.
