Albino humpback caught on video in Australia

9/29/2012

Spotting a humpback whale is lucky enough — but anyone who got a glimpse of this albino humpback off Australia's Gold Coast won the marine-animal jackpot. This is actually a pretty well-documented whale, with his own website and a name: Migaloo, which means "white fella" in an Australian aboriginal language. He also has quite a history with humans: He was first spotted in 1991, and apparently we've kept an eye on him ever since. Here's hoping he has another 20 years of trouble-free swimming ahead of him.
