Having a nightcap to help you sleep tight? Don't bother
1/23/2013Though the consumption of alcohol helps people fall asleep pretty darn fast, a study proves that it doesn’t help them stay asleep or get enough rest. The study, by the London Sleep Centre, concluded that after those first few hours of deep sleep, people who consumed alcohol not only suffered from sleep disruption, they also didn't get enough REM. This news might come as a shock to those college students who claim it’s a great idea to throw back a few in order to get a good night’s sleep the night before an important exam. How will they react? Probably not all that much. Cheers! [Source]
