Fancy a drink? Yeah, you might want to rethink that. Why? Oh, just science ruining things. A recently published study found that imbibing even one alcoholic beverage a day can increase the risk of dying from cancer. Gulp. Researchers found that booze can be linked to 20,000 cancer-related deaths in America each year. It found that up to 60 percent of those deaths came from patients who had three or more drinks a day, but 35 percent could be linked to downing 1.5 (or less) servings a day. The study found that 3.5 percent of the 577,000 cancer deaths in the U.S. every year can be traced to alcohol. [Source]
