Second-grader reportedly suspended for throwing pretend grenade
2/5/2013Someone call the stupid police. A 7-year-old was reportedly suspended from a Colorado school for tossing an imaginary grenade during recess. Alex Watkins of Loveland was playing a game he calls "Rescue the World" by himself on the playground at Mary Blair Elementary. When he wanted to eliminate some enemies, he pretended to throw an imaginary grenade and said "pshhh" to signify an explosion. He was then allegedly yanked from school for breaking its "absolute" no-weapons rule (real or imaginary). "I don't think the rule is very realistic for kids this age," says mom Mandie Watkins.
