Actor Alexander Rhodes is the 8th most popular celebrity on the Internet Movie Database and has scored top billing in what used to be Tom Cruise's forthcoming film, "Jack Reacher." Never heard of Rhodes? Don't blame yourself. His chilling portrayal as Suspicious Onlooker in the yet-to-be-released thriller is brief, and it's only his third part. Alexander's meteoric rise is all down to wily manipulation of IMDb's ranking algorithms. The site apparently ranks cast members based on how many people view their profile pages, and when plucky nobody Rhodes posted a screenshot on Reddit users flocked to his page.
