Meet the obese dog who weighs three times more than he should

When English animal welfare workers met Alfie the Labrador, they dubbed him "a massive blob with a leg at each corner." That's cruel — yet accurate. The 12-year-old pooch is believed to be Britain's fattest dog because he weighs more than 170 pounds, three times more than the average Lab. Alfie's elderly owner suffered from dementia and kept forgetting the dog had been fed. Alfie was taken in by authorities and has lost about 60 pounds since he was put on a strict diet.
