Alligator dumped in Detroit street gives neighbors an Xmas surprise

The Christmas spirit extends kindness to all living things. Even slimy, scaly alligators, it turns out. One lucky reptile got a taste of humans' penchant for holiday giving when it turned up in East Detroit after being tossed out of a truck to the surprise of area residents. Rather than recoil at the 5-foot-long creature's slimy scales or razor-laden grin, neighbor Shontez Gibson took it to his room, gave it a space heater, and fed the little fellow fish. The recovering reptile is now spending Christmas warm and toasty with the gator-lovin' folks at Rochester Hills' Michigan Humane Society. [Source]
