Got a beef with Amazon? One Norwegian woman (only identified by her first name, Linn) took her battle with the behemoth to the mean streets of social media, proving it's the only place to win. The trouble began when Amazon wiped voracious reader (and excellent customer) Linn's Kindle clean. No explanation, no apology. Linn asked Amazon for help, and when she began receiving form letters with bogus explanations, she turned to blogger friend Martin Bekkelund, who typed out her saga to the world, including Amazon's ridiculous correspondence. A little social media pixie-dust and the story went viral, with e-readers lamenting the Orwellian features of DRM (that's the technology that allows sellers to keep control of your e-literature forever).
