American Apparel's sex-crazed CEO receives $10M raise

Could American Apparel be rewarding CEO Dov Charney for keeping the trendy clothing company on the tip of everyone's tongue with his crazy antics? Despite a $260 million lawsuit (now in arbitration) accusing Charney of keeping a teenage worker imprisoned in his apartment as a sex slave, SEC documents show he was awarded a $10 million raise in the form of stock last year. While Charney may have financially resuscitated the beleaguered company, he's better known for his kinky hijinks, including circulating nude pix of himself online. The company might not be terribly disgruntled with his publicity-grabbing (and crotch-grabbing) stunts after all - or maybe it's just that he owns a huge amount of the company's stock himself.
