American tourist upset that he couldn't shoot some Canadians
8/8/2012Michigan cop Walt Wawra and his wife recently vacationed in Canada, which was OK, except for the part where he couldn't pull his gun on some overly inquisitive Canadians. Wawra wrote to the Calgary Sun, expressing his frustration with Canada's gun laws, explaining how, during a stroll through a city park, two youths asked the couple if they'd "been to the Stampede yet?" THEN THEY ASKED AGAIN, which made Wawra assume they didn't "have good intentions" and oooh doggie, he wished he'd been allowed to carry his gun. (What if they'd tried to talk about hockey?!) Canadians who’ve read the letter are largely relieved that Wawra had to leave his weapon on the American side of the border. [Source]
