Anderson Cooper issues understatement that he's gay

After last week's Supreme Court decision, TomKat's split and Adele's fertilized eggs, that burning smell is probably coming from your overworked Twitter feed. Monday provided another "OMG! Must update!" incident when CNN reporter Anderson Cooper confirmed that he was gay. In characteristically dignified form, Cooper addressed his sexual preference in an email responding to an Entertainment Weekly story about understated "coming out" announcements. "The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be," Cooper wrote to The Daily Beast. "And I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself and proud."
