Anderson Cooper sunburned his eyeballs and went blind for 36 hours

Anderson Cooper, we applaud your dedication, but take it easy! Coop recounted today how while filming on location in Portugal last week he was temporarily blinded for 36 hours after he sunburned his eyes. Cooper posted a pic of himself wearing an eye patch on Instagram and said UV light bouncing off of water did the damage. On his show, "Anderson Live," the journalist recounted how he woke up in the middle of the night with irritated eyes thinking he had sand in them. After splashing them with water he realized he had sunburned his baby blues. Fortunately his vision returned, and Cooper joked that the patch pic is going to work well on his Match.com profile.
