Teen loses lawsuit over wearing 'Mark of the Beast' tracking ID tag
1/9/2013Remember the Texas teen who sued her school because she didn’t want to wear a radio-frequency identification chip-laden student ID because she believed it was "the Mark of the Beast?" Well, Andrea Hernandez has lost her lawsuit. The ID, associated with a student's Social Security number, pinpoints kids' whereabouts while they're on campus. But since Northside Independent School District offered Andrea the opportunity to ditch the chip and wear the RFID-free card, a judge has ruled that there's no way it clashed with her religious beliefs. Andrea has until Jan. 18 to make peace with the devil and don the tracker or find a new school. [Source]
