Woman runs over teen at Wal-Mart over parking space, police say

1/2/2013

We’ve all been there — circling a parking lot, our mood at the intersection of anger and despair, when alas, a space materializes. Deputies in an Atlanta suburb say Angela Cornett — a member of a local school board, no less — was so intent on getting a spot, she apparently struck a 17-year-old girl with her SUV in a dispute over a space at a Wal-Mart. The teen stood in the space to save it for a friend who had just given birth, but when Cornett saw the spot she demanded the girl get out of the way. When the girl refused, Cornett allegedly struck her with her vehicle. [Source]
