Dad of Down syndrome kid wants apology for Coulter's 'retarded' tweets10/10/2012
The dad of a boy with Down syndrome has demanded an apology from conservative pundit Ann Coulter for controversial tweets she made about Obama pandering to the "retarded vote." In an eloquent editorial that's going viral today, proud papa Dan Niblock tells the story of his son Ozzie's birth, going on to call Coulter out for reinforcing the notion that his boy is a punch line, and "retard" is an acceptable go-to insult. "Thanks, Ann," he writes. "I'll remember that on some random Tuesday in my future when I come home from work and Ozzie is sobbing ... " Niblock then points out that October is Down syndrome awareness month, the perfect time for her to apologize for the "hate speech." [Source]
