I'm writing a self-help book about Mitt Romney for the Middle Class; it's called "He's Just Not That Into #YouPeople ."

I've never seen so many white people upset by the term #YouPeople. Well played, Ann Romney. You are a shining beacon of privileged ignorance

People misunderstood my wife, Ann Romney. She meant: We're better than most people and the same rules don't apply. That's all. #YouPeople

Tweeps don't like Ann Romney calling them 'you people'

7/20/2012

Ann Romney has been portrayed as the loving wife standing behind Mitt throughout his campaign, but this morning, she may have hurt rather than helped her husband's image—at least in the Twittersphere. In an interview on Good Morning America, she defended their decision to withhold tax records from the public, something for which Mitt Romney has been widely criticized. “We’ve given all you people need to know,” she declared, promptly opened the floodgates to scathing responses. Her comment, which many people felt was condescending, sparked the Twitter hashtag #YouPeople along with a lot of venting about Romney’s supposed air of privilege. [Source]
