Obama's possible ambassador pick? The editor of Vogue, of course12/4/2012
The U.S. ambassadorship to England or France may soon be one of the most glamorous jobs in the world. Sources claim that Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is on President Obama's short list of nominees to be America's representative in one of the two countries. What are Wintour's qualifications? She was one of Obama's largest campaign boosters during his re-election bid, helping to raise more than $500,000 for the pres (cushy positions like ambassadorships to our closest allies is nothing new when it comes to rewarding top donors). Wintour was born in England and is currently a U.S. citizen. If this new gig goes through, we can't wait to make "the ambassador wears Prada" jokes. [Source]
