Anne Hathaway really wants an Oscar for 'Les Miz,' spoof says
1/31/2013Hate Anne Hathaway? Find her annoying, overly earnest, horsey-faced, or just plain untalented? You’re not alone, and in this funny spoof, a young director rides a wave of Hathaway hate to make fun of the actress for (probably) wanting an Oscar soooooo damn bad. The video’s director, grad student Alberto Belli, 28, shot the clip of Emma Fitzpatrick spoofing Hathaway’s performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” from the hit film “Les Miserables.” In the clip, dubbed “For Your Consideration” (it’s supposed to be targeted at Oscar judges), Fitzpatrick puts on her very best faux-impassioned performance to beg for an Oscar, because – duh – she “played a prostitute who died.” She even "let them give me this new haircut, and I lost half my body weight." It’s enough to make us want to see “Les Miz” one more time … Or, uh, not.
