Lunch lady ordered to quit serving up unfairly delicious food
10/8/2012Annika Eriksson, head chef at a school in central Sweden, has a reputation for serving students fresh-baked bread, vegetable buffets, and other treats. But no tasty deed goes unpunished. Eriksson has been ordered to cut back her menu because her food is so good, it's "unfair" to students from other schools with less awesome cafeterias. Eriksson will be forced to serve store-bought bread and halve the size of her vegetable buffet to bring her offerings in line with the local municipality's "healthy diet scheme." Naturally, her school's students and their parents are stewing about the absurd decision. They're especially concerned the new rules might harm Eriksson's traditional Easter and Christmas smorgasbords. [Source]
