Cranky Anthony Hopkins calls method actors 'a pain in the ass'

Some people mellow in old age. Then there's 74-year-old acting legend Anthony Hopkins. In a recent interview, the star of the upcoming Alfred Hitchcock biopic (cleverly called "Hitchcock") unloaded on his method-acting peers and railed against those who campaign for an Oscar. When asked if he stayed in character as Hitchcock in between scenes, you could almost hear him bristle. "I think that's a lot of crap," he said, calling actors who do "a pain in the ass."
