Rather large man escapes from handcuffs, steals police van, cops say
2/7/2013California cops are searching for an incredibly flexible Anthony Sanchez, who reportedly maneuvered his handcuffed hands around to his front by slipping them under his body, wriggled through them, then sped off in a police van Wednesday. Cops had kindly interlocked two pairs of handcuffs on the 5-foot-8-inch, 275-pound Sanchez, picked up for outstanding drug-related warrants, to “lessen the stress on his shoulders.” But instead of thanking them, police say that Sanchez pulled the stunt while the arresting officer stood nearby filling out paperwork. The van turned up a mile away, but Sanchez had vanished. He's now wanted for escaping, resisting arrest and stealing a police vehicle. [Source]
