Watch a Vegas pickpocket distract, confuse and rob 'Today Show' hosts
2/6/2013Vegas performer Apollo Robbins, or "The Gentleman Thief," recently appeared on the "Today Show" with a very nervous-looking Matt Lauer, Willie Geist and hanger-on Ryan Seacrest to demonstrate his "theatrical pickpocketing" skills. Robbin's shtick is so exhaustively rehearsed and timed that it's difficult to follow even with three attentive guys and a couple cameras pointed at him. The removal of Willie Geist's watch is no less impressive in slow motion. In ten years of doing his act, Robbins' greatest triumph was relieving Jimmy Carter's Secret Service staff of nearly everything but their guns at a 2001 dinner.
