YouTube and iPhones won't be friends much longer, Apple confirms
8/7/2012If you've owned an iPhone or two (or all five, if you're a true zealot), you've noticed that the Apple device comes prepackaged with the YouTube app. But not for much longer: The upcoming sixth version of Apple's iOS will ditch YouTube, an announcement that's caused a stir in the tech world. While Apple claims it's still totally besties with YouTube and it's only dropping the app because its license to do so has expired, it's likely that Apple's increasing distance from YouTube's owner Google has something to do with the move.
