Apple rejects app for featuring frisky geometric shapes
3/22/2012An iPhone app has been banned for having "excessively objectionable or crude content," despite its only content being geometric shapes. The various circles and diamonds, when positioned by cheeky artist Luciano Foglia, become "Geometic Porn," which Foglia argues is abstract art, but which prudish Apple apparently thought was too risque. It's unclear how much of an audience the game would have had if it had been approved: The various pink-colored shapes are unlikely to have been very interesting to those looking for racy imagery, while chimpanzees and babies may be enthralled by simple shapes but couldn't care less about buying apps (or porn for that matter.)
Is this app too risqué or is it abstract art?
