Mom publicly shames pot-smoking son with humiliating sign

April Matheson has learned that when it comes to child discipline, methods like taking the Xbox away and calling time outs just don't work. So when she caught her son Brandon, 13, smoking marijuana with his friends, she decided a little public shaming was in order. To teach him a lesson he wouldn't forget, Matheson made her son wear a sign that read "Smoked pot, got caught! Don't I look cool? Not!" while walking along a busy intersection in their hometown of Beaufort, S.C. And the humiliation worked: Brandon claims he's done with pot, saying, "I got to change my life and stop." Mission accomplished, mom.
