Restaurant owner hands lesbian couple letter slamming homosexuality1/11/2013
Ariel and Shawnee McPhail, a married couple in New Bern, N.C., had just finished a meal at the Stingray Cafe when restaurant manager Ed McGovern handed them a handwritten note explaining God's opposition to homosexuality. The letter reportedly asked the couple to "See how [homosexuality] hurt[s] everyone around you. And ask the Lord to open your eye[s] before [it’s too] late." McGovern confirmed that he gave the couple the note, saying he took offense when he saw the two kissing outside his restaurant, which the McPhails deny. Even if they had, though, Shawnee said, "What married couple would you go to and say, 'How dare you … You cannot kiss in public; therefore, you deserve my judgment.'" [Source]
