'Modern Family' star removed from home following abuse allegations

Ariel Winter, the bespectacled teen who plays the middle Dunphy on "Modern Family," has been removed from her real-life home following allegations of physical and emotional abuse against her mother. According to court records, a judge ruled that allegations against mom Crystal Workman were enough to warrant placing Winter in the care of her 34-year-old sister, Shanelle Workman. Crystal also has to stay at least 100 feet away from Winter until a second hearing later this month. Ariel's older sibling was removed from Crystal's home 20 years ago and placed into foster care. [Source]
